Women Inspiration Of The Month - Malala Yousafzai

“I tell my story not because it is unique but because it is the story of many girls” –Malala Yousafzai
.
Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani education advocate who, at the age of 17, became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize after surviving an assassination attempt by the Taliban. Malala Yousafzai became an advocate for girls' education when she herself was still a child, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. On October 9, 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was traveling home from school. She survived and has continued to speak out on the importance of education. In 2013, she gave a speech to the United Nations and published her first book, I Am Malala. In 2014, she won the Nobel Peace Prize.
.
Now Malala study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford and the same time she still continue her fighting for women’s education by running Malala Fund. More info you can just go to www.malala.org or  their instagram @malalafund
.
Guess what? it’s Malala’s birthday recently which is on 12nd July 2018 and this year she spent her 21st birthday at Brazil to share stories related with importance of an education. Awesome right???
.
Hope this story will make you realise how lucky we are as Bruneians because of free education given by His Majesty. Not everyone can have this opportunity as us.
